Broken Bones: Collar bone, age 8, falling out of bunk bed.  Shoulder blade, age 30, playing football.  Wrist, age 30, free falling from 8′ skate bowl…..coping got me good!

Funny Stories? I once got lost on a Hawaiian hiking trail with my brother on Christmas Eve.  We were supposed to be gone for an hour, but after taking a few wrong turns and having a thunderstorm settle over the mountain, we lost all bearings and hiked barefoot and shirtless 15 miles in the wrong direction. We were lost until 10:00 that night which was 7 hours later than we ever expected.  My mom and sister sent out the search and rescue helicopter, but we ended up finding out way back. The hike was great though; lots of mud, deep jungle, hog heads bleeding out in the trees, good times with my brother, and giving our mom a little memory of what we put her through as children!  Sorry mom.

My Story: The Lord gifted me with a passion and an ability to ride. But after years of riding for my own satisfaction, I reached a point where it no longer fulfilled my craving.  It wasn’t until I truly filled that void in my heart that I felt fulfilled 100%. It is now my heart’s desire to ride for Christ.  Surfing with a purpose has changed all the focus of my life and has given me a reason to paddle out in any condition.  Jesus met people where they were and then loved them with Truth and compassion.  Every time I surf, I pray the Lord opens a door to use me in His will and share the Gospel to make Him famous.  Whether it’s 1 foot or 10 foot, I’m stoked to be riding because God has given me the ocean with the purpose of giving back to Him.  It’s all about Jesus and how he wants to use us.  I want to encourage anyone who is reading this, to find your passion and let the Lord work through you for an Eternal value and purpose.
