With 1/6th of the Mexican population living in extreme poverty, what better place to travel to bring boards and hope to a country that is lacking both. With the majority of the individuals in Mexico living on garbage as their source of food and record setting statistics for a lack of education, Mexico is in NEED of your help and support. We have teamed up and partnered with the organization “Little Ones Ministries.” Little Ones is a Faith based non-profit organization that was founded in 2001 to serve impoverished children, some physically impoverished, and others spiritually. They seek to spread the love of Christ to kids in need through Love, Hope, and Action. The purpose of Little Ones Ministries and the reason they were founded was to bridge the gap between the community and the church in Central Mexico. This goal is accomplished by some of the following: Meeting the Physical Needs, Sharing the Gospel, Showing the Love of Christ, Teaching the Word of God, Discipling, Commitment to Children and Young People in the area, Preparing People for Works of Service (Volunteering), and Encouraging others. Little Ones Ministries is based near Zacatecas, Mexico, which is located in the heart of Central Mexico. The location that we have partnered with their organization to assist in the needs there is Jerez. Jerez, often confused with the Mexico border town Juarez, is located just a few miles outside of Zacatecas in the heart of Mexico. Founded in the 16th Century, Jerez proudly displays its vast cultural and architectural heritage. But as beautiful as the country may be, life is difficult for the people there. Often their wages are half of their expenses to live. Surviving between hardship and hope lends itself to desperation and decisions that harm many families. While greatly impoverished and steeped in religion, the people of Jerez are in need of everlasting hope. Hope that only comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ.We would like to invite you to join us on a trip of a lifetime, and to travel to Jerez, Mexico. As we work to complete building/remodeling projects, host outreach events in the community, assist with the 3 different feeding centers with cooking and cleaning, skate at the local skatepark, build relationships with the children and teach many of them how to skate, host a skate contest in Zacatecas, premier Christian Skate videos in the evenings, host a Vacation Bible School, and many other activities, it is inevitable that you will experience a trip that you will never forget.
